On Wednesday at F8-2010, Mark Zuckerberg, the chief executive of Facebook, released some new features and the company’s plan to take over the web. It includes a number of new features for users and developers that will make it easy for Web sites to provide “social experiences.” And it will allow users to bring some of their interactions with Facebook friends to the sites they visit.

“Zuck” or Mr. Zuckerberg described the new features as the most “transformative thing that we have ever done for the Web.”

They include a “Like” button that will allow users to indicate what they like, be it a photograph, an article, an artist or a celebrity. The relationship between the user and the object will then be stored by Facebook, much as the company currently stores connections between people. In turn, Facebook will allow other sites to tap into people’s connections and preferences.

“We are making it so all Web sites can work together to build a more comprehensive map of connections and create better, more social experiences for everyone,” Mr. Zuckerberg wrote in a blog post introducing the new features.
